Information Commons

Library Information Commons are located on the 4th and 5th floor of XJTLU Library. There are 174 Lenovo computers and 53 Apple computers. Staff members may reserve the information commons for teaching activities via XJTLU Room Booking System (http://bookings.lib.xjtlu.edu.cn/ClientWeb/xcus/ic2/Default.aspx). The reservation notification will be found at the entrance notice board. The Information Commons (Room 463,416,516,563,529) are available for library users, first-come-first-serve when no teaching activities are scheduled.

Computers on Catalogue Searching Area (1F and 3F)

Students and staff can use these computers to search library collection, use Discovery system and print documents.

The computers distributed on 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th floor

As a supplement to the computers on downstairs floors, these computers are convenient for patrons to use library computers for library catalogue searching, printing, personal learning and research work on the upper floors.

Wireless

The university provides free wired and wireless network. The campus total bandwidth is 2.4G (IPv4) + 1G (IPv6). Every staff member can access the campus network and external internet by wired (20M) and wireless (2M) means.

Note:

You may experience limited access and slow response while accessing some oversea websites on campus (even in China). That is because of the national firewall policy implemented by the government, not caused by campus network.

Connect to University’s free Wi-Fi network:

Search and connect campus wireless SSID (XJTLU) in terminal. Open any web page by browser, the authentication page will be automatically popup. Please login by username and password.
