Please kindly take note that Library is going to have short loan collection to hold books which are in heavy demand from 27 September 2013.

1 Short loan materials:

Short Loan – T, Text Book in the Library (Including both essential and optional textbook)

Short loan – P, Prescribed and recommended readings by academic staff

DVDs

Short Loan – H, Heavy issued and demanded books

Short Loan – O, Others Encyclopedias, and dictionaries related to major subject

2 Short Loan Regulation

Short Loan Period: 3days

Renew: Short Loan items are in heavy demand therefore renewals are not allowed.

Location: 3rd floor near the service desk.

Overdue Fine: the same as general books. If you return items after the due date you will be fined 0.2 RMB per item per day. You may not be allowed to borrow any book until the fine has been paid; if the book you have on loan is requested or reserved by someone else, it should be returned by the due date. 0.5 RMB will be charged per item per day if the returning is delayed.

3 Short loan to general collection

Library User Service Division will check the issue frequency of the short loan books from Library system, and reserves the right to make the short loan books to general books.
