The Fogg Behavior Model isn’t motivational fluff but a practical handbook for designing behavior. B.J. Fogg’s research shows behavior results from the alignment of motivation, ability, and prompts; when they align, change happens naturally. Dismantle the myth of “willpower” and apply behavior science to everyday life—small acts (drink one more glass of water) or major shifts can be designed and achieved. Want to run? Put on your running shoes. Want to improve? Start with a tiny, fail‑safe habit.
The first session of Go Reading of the semester will be held in March by XJTLU Library and Reader Association (the 45th in total). Under the guidance of the speaker, we will unlock the fundamental mechanisms of behavior change—you will discover that the inertia you thought required a lifetime to overcome is merely a program waiting to be redesigned.
