Demystifying Peer Review: A Webinar for Researchers
Event
3 November 2021, Wednesday

Peer review is designed to assess the validity, quality and often the originality of articles for publication. Participating in peer review usually requires a lot of time and effort. However, for most researchers, the process of peer review is often mysterious.

This webinar will focus on all aspects of peer review, sort out the details of peer review, and decipher the hot issues in the peer review process, including:

  1. What is the process of peer review? Why does peer review take so long?
  2. How does the journal invite reviewers? And how does the reviewer decide whether to accept the review invitation?
  3. How do reviewers rate the article? Is there a uniform standard for reviewing articles?
  4. Case study -- how to use the reviewer's thinking to build critical thinking, and then easily respond to peer review?
  5. Overhaul or rejection? Are the reviewers’ suggestions for manuscripts reasonable?

Speakers:
Dr. Jia Yang, Reviewer Engagement Manager, Taylor & Francis

Dr. Diana Marshall, Head of Reviewer Programmes, Taylor & Francis
