This semester, the library has further enriched the content of the Library AI Idea Exchange Camp. In addition to continuing the widely acclaimed regular AI training sessions from the previous semester, new training courses on AI-generated video and writing have been added. Simultaneously, related activities have been launched at the Taicang campus.

On September 19th, focusing on “How to generate PPT with AI,” librarian Li LU introduced the latest AI presentation tools to audiences. He demonstrated to the XJTLUers how to quickly generate high-quality PPT slides using AI technology, enhancing the professionalism and efficiency of making presentations.

9月19日，图书馆馆员石徐欢在太仓校园内开启首场图书馆AI培训。她以人工素养与人工智能能力框架为切入点，深入浅出地向听众介绍AI素养，以期通过提升大家对AI工具的认知，对AI的有效利用、对AI伦理的思辨，最终提升自己的AI素养。
On September 19th, librarian Xuhuan SHI initiated the first library AI training session at the Taicang campus. She started with the framework of AI literacy and AI capabilities, explaining AI literacy in a straightforward manner. The aim was to enhance participants’ understanding of AI tools, effective utilization of AI, and critical thinking about AI ethics, ultimately improving their own AI literacy.

On September 25th, librarian Sunruo WU shared the application of AI technology in the field of visual design. Using vivid cases and images, she demonstrated how AI tools can be utilized for their rapid, efficient, and automated drawing capabilities, enhancing designers’ creativity and work efficiency.

9月26日，图书馆馆员陆姣邀请西浦师生共同探讨AIGC实操技巧。通过拆解提示词基本结构，梳理出优化提示词和避免AI幻觉的小技巧，并用引入实例对比了市面上常见的AI检测工具，强调在学习与研究中避免滥用AI技术的重要性。
On September 26th, librarian Jiao LU invited XJTLUers to jointly explore AIGC practical skills. By breaking down the basic structure of Prompts, she sorted out some tips for optimizing prompts and avoiding AI hallucinations. Furthermore, she introduced and compared common AI detectors on the market, emphasizing the importance of avoiding the misuse of AI in learning and research.

On October 16th, librarian Pei ZENG shared several AI video generation tools, demonstrating how to use these tools to quickly create high-quality videos, empowering new directions in video creation.

Emerging AI Tools for Literature Review/AI Tool: Use AI for Literature Review (Taicang Campus)
针对西浦师生求学与科研的需求，为探索如何在信息过载的时代更有效地整理和分析文献，馆员陆姣与石徐欢聚焦AI应用于学术研究的领域，分别于11月7日与11月8日，在园区和太仓校园与大家共同探讨如何使用AI工具辅助文献综述。馆员们在现场演示了 ResearchRabbit, Connected Paper，Consensus等工具的具体用法，展示如何使用这些工具优化研究主题、提高文献综述效率的同时，也梳理了AI工具的局限性与使用时的注意事项。
Addressing the needs of XJTLUers for studying and research, exploring how to more effectively organize and analyze literature in the era of information overload, librarians Jiao LU and Xuhuan SHI, focusing on the implementation of AI in academic research process, discussed how to use AI tools to assist in literature reviews on November 7th and November 8th at the SIP campus and Taicang campus, respectively. They demonstrated the usage of tools such as ResearchRabbit, Connected Paper, and Consensus, showing how these tools can optimize research topics and improve the efficiency of literature reviews, while also outlining the limitations of AI tools and precautions for their use.

11月21日，馆员茅文沛带领大家了解AI润色翻译的原理，实操Grammarly和Quillbot两款常见AI润色翻译工具，演示AI工具如何帮助我们快速实现多语言转换、分析句子结构、优化用词，使文本更加流畅自然。
On November 21st, librarian Wenpei MAO guided everyone through the principles of AI-enhanced translation and polishing. She operated two common AI polishing and translation tools, Grammarly and Quillbot, demonstrating how AI tools can help us quickly achieve multilingual translation, analyze sentence structure, optimize word choice, and make the text more fluent and natural.
