2026年8月7日下午，西浦图书馆应邀参与由国网江苏电力（太仓心连心）电暖流共产党员服务队发起的“书香赴大山，暖心润古村”公益图书捐赠活动，以实际行动践行高校社会责任、传递阅读力量。

On the afternoon of 7 August 2026, XJTLU Library was invited to participate in the public book donation initiative “Books for the Mountains, Warmth for Ancient Villages,” organized by the State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power (Taicang Xinlianxin) Party Member Volunteer Service Team. Through this event, XJTLU Library fulfilled its social responsibility as a higher education institution while championing the transformative power of reading.

本次活动中，西浦图书馆捐赠图书150册，涵盖文学经典、名人传记、自我成长等多个门类。这些图书将与活动募集到的共计600余册书籍一起，由中国邮政免费运往云南省丽江市玉龙县宝山乡吾木村，用于当地“公益书架”建设，为儿童、妇女和老人提供更加丰富的阅读资源。

As part of the initiative, XJTLU Library donated 150 books, spanning literary classics, biographies of notable figures, self-development titles, and more. Together with over 600 books collected through the initiative, the volumes will be shipped free of charge by China Post to Wumu Village, Baoshan Township, Yulong County, Lijiang, Yunnan Province. The collection will be used to establish a Public Book Corner in the village, offering enriched reading resources for local children, women, and the elderly.

一本书，不仅承载着知识，也寄托着对美好生活的期许。西浦图书馆将继续关注公益阅读事业，积极参与社会服务，与更多社会力量携手，让书香传递温暖，让阅读连接更多社区与更广阔的世界。

Every book carries not only knowledge, but also hopes and aspirations for a better life. XJTLU Library will continue to support public reading initiatives, actively engage in community service, and work with partners to promote reading and lifelong learning, helping the joy of reading reach more communities and connect people with a wider world.
