On 17 September, 2025, Dr. Xin Bi, Chief Officer of Data, Director of the Centre for Knowledge and Information and University Librarian at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), was invited to deliver a keynote speech online at the international webinar titled “Empowering Learning, Research, and Publication in the AI-Driven Open Science Era”, which was hosted by the Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). He shared AI and Academic Integrity at Higher Education: Perspectives and Best Practice from Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.

2025年9月17日，西交利物浦大学首席数据官、知识与信息中心主任、图书馆馆长毕新博士，受邀参加由印度尼西亚加札马达大学主办的线上国际研讨会 “人工智能驱动的开放科学时代：赋能学习、科研与出版”, 分享高等教育人工智能与学术诚信：西交利物浦大学的最佳实践。

This webinar aimed to highlight innovations, challenges, and best practices in the integration of artificial intelligence and open science within higher education, gathering participants from universities, publishers, and library professionals. It focused on two core themes “From Archives to Global Audiences: The Librarian’s Role in Facilitating Research Excellence for International Publishing” and “AI and Academic Integrity”.

此次研讨会旨在聚焦人工智能与开放科学在高等教育融合中的创新、挑战与最佳实践，吸引了来自高校、出版机构和图书馆领域专家的参与。主题包括“从档案到全球受众：图书馆在推动研究卓越与国际出版中的角色”和“人工智能与学术诚信”。

In Dr. Xin Bi's presentation, he shared insights from international and institutional AI policy frameworks, and introduced XJTLU’s Education+AI Strategic Framework as well as the University Library’s AI practices. He presented the LibAI applications, including LibAI Search and LibAI Cite, which were built by XIPU AI Agent, and also introduced the AI Literacy Education framework and initiatives at the XJTLU Library.

在毕新博士的演讲中，他从国际和高校层面的AI政策框架谈起，继而介绍西交利物浦大学Education+AI的战略框架，并分享西浦图书馆在AI实践中的探索。毕博士展示了基于西浦智能体构建的西浦图书馆的“LibAI”应用，包括LibAI Search、LibAI Cite等，并在最后介绍了西浦图书馆的AI素养教育框架和实践项目。

Dr. Safirotu Khoir, the Coordinator of Public Relations and Integrational Affair from UGM Library and Archives, expressed that amid the rapid changes driven by technology, Dr. Xin Bi’s presentation had responded how higher education institutions could balance the opportunities brought by AI and their responsibilities to uphold academic integrity.

加札马达大学图书馆公共关系与综合事务协调员Safirotu Khoir博士表示，在技术驱动的快速变革背景下，毕新博士的演讲回应了高等教育机构应如何平衡人工智能带来的机遇，以及维护学术诚信所肩负的责任。

XJTLU Library places high priority on international academic exchange and talent development. The Library organized librarians to attend the entire seminar live online, enabling them learn from global universities' cutting-edge experiences in AI applications to build the team's relevant knowledge and capabilities. Dr. Xin Bi stated that attending this international webinar not only showcased the XJTLU Library’s achievements in AI applications, but also enhanced its international engagement and influence, thereby positioning the library to deepen the integration of AI technology and cultivate an AI-literate team.
