Taicang Campus Library is open for service from 12th September, 2022. The library at Taicang Campus is located in the Block D of the university, with around 6,500 square meters. It has 3 floors for users’ activities and 1 floor for compact shelves. It provides around 400 seats and 18 group study rooms to meet the varied student needs of learning space.

Monday – Friday

8：00 – 22：00

Saturday – Sunday

9：00 – 22：00

 

For summer and winter holidays, the opening hours will be pre-announced via E-mail and posted at the entrance of the library.

During examination days, the opening hours will be extended to 24：00.

LEARNING COMMONS

Level 1,2,3

Learning Commons are located on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors of the library. Learning Commons are intended for private study and research. Sofas and study tables are located in the Learning Commons. Thousands of books are shelved in the Learning Commons to support learning, teaching and research. Dozens of popular magazines are also provided for leisurely reading and relaxation.

 

GROUP STUDY ROOM

Level 1,2,3

Group Study Rooms are located on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors of the library. Group Study Rooms aim to provide students and staff with space for group discussion.

 

SELF-PRINTING, COPYING AND SCANNING AREA

Level 1

Printers, Photocopiers and Scanners are available for both XJTLU students and staff. For any printer problems, please contact the IT Service Desk.

 

LIBRARY SERVICE COUNTER

Level 1

The service counter is located on the library’s 1st floor. Staff and students can borrow and return library items at the library circulation desk. In addition, the library service desk also provides collection inquiries, USB cables, headphones, umbrella borrowing and any library-related issues of advisory services.

 

SELF-BORROWING AND RETURNING MACHINE & 24-HOUR EASY RETURN MACHINE

Level 1

Self-Borrowing and Returning Machines and 24-Hour Easy Return Machines are located on the library’s 1st floor.  Users can use Self-Borrowing and Returning Machines and 24-Hour Easy Return Machines to check out library materials quickly and easily by themselves. Some items like course reserves, oversized books and inter-branch delivery books cannot be returned or borrowed through the machine, so please go to the Library Circulation Desk.
