To enhance the learning environment and improve service quality, the XJTLU Library has undergone renovations with the support of the campus management office and property management office. This upgrade encompasses three key components: adjustment of the layout, renovation of electrical equipment and facilities, and enhancement of cleanliness within the library.

In Taicang Campus, the first floor layout has been adjusted to provide more space for discussion. The study tables in the Main Entrance Hall have been moved to the absolute quiet zone.

In SIP Campus, the library has repurposed part of its collection area to create 76 new individual study carrels on Level 10. And a new group study room 1014 is available for use.

The renovation of electrical equipment and facilities encompasses all the sockets in the self-study desks in the Learning Commons have been upgraded to accommodate various charger sizes in Taicang Campus.

In SIP Campus, the library conducted a thorough inspection and repair of all electrical facilities throughout the building, including circuits, desktop sockets, and floor outlets. Some bookshelf areas have added lighting.

Additionally, all furniture in the library, including chairs, desks, bookshelves and carpets, has been meticulously cleaned. Repainting and repairs have been carried out on some stained walls as well as old and peeling ceilings at SIP Campus.

With the arrival of the new semester, the library will welcome XJTLUers with a new look, maintaining its commitment to providing the most thoughtful services to patrons.
