On March 5th, the XJTLU Library hosted a successful webinar titled "Enhancing Research Efficiency with Scopus AI: Boosting Efficiency and Gaining Insights." The event attracted a diverse audience of faculty members, researchers, and senior students, providing them with a deeper understanding of Scopus AI’s applications and technological foundations to support academic research.

Mrs. Lucia Schoombee, Subject Matter Expert, Elsevier

The session featured Mrs. Lucia Schoombee, a Subject Matter Expert at Elsevier with a background in Librarianship and Science and Technology Studies. Mrs. Schoombee delivered a comprehensive overview of Scopus AI, including its knowledge base, key functionalities, and underlying technological framework. She also addressed the principles of Responsible AI, emphasizing ethical considerations in integrating AI tools into research workflows.

The interactive demonstration also prompted insightful exchanges between participants, Mrs. Schoombee, Dr. Zhijie Zhang and XJTLU librarians. Following the presentation, attendees engaged in an active discussion, exploring specific use cases and potential future enhancements of Scopus AI.
