On September 11, 2025, the latest Essential Science Indicators (ESI) update revealed that Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) has entered the ESI Global Top 1% in the field of Economics & Business for the first time. This achievement marks a significant milestone in the university’s continuous efforts to advance high-level discipline development and enhance its global research profile.

2025年9月11日，基本科学指标（Essential Science Indicators，简称ESI）最新数据显示，西交利物浦大学经济与商业学科首次进入ESI全球排名前1%。这是我校长久以来持续推进高水平学科建设和科研国际化的重要成果，标志着该学科领域已具备显著的全球学术影响力。

Among the 543 institutions worldwide ranked in the top 1% in Economics & Business, 55 are from Mainland China. XJTLU’s debut on this list reflects its growing research strength and international recognition in this field.

在此次ESI经济与商业学科全球前1%的机构中，共有543所世界高校及科研机构入选，其中来自中国内地的单位共55所。西浦首次进入该榜单，显示出我校在该领域的科研实力和国际认可度持续提升。

With this addition, the university now boasts a total of five disciplines within the ESI Global Top 1%, including Engineering, Computer Science, Social Sciences (General), Environment/Ecology, and Economics & Business.

截至目前，我校已有五个学科跻身ESI全球前1%，包括工程学、计算机科学、社会科学（综合）、环境/生态学及经济与商业。

The University Library has been regularly releasing the ESI Research Performance Report every two months to provide detailed analysis of XJTLU’s disciplinary progress and research competitiveness. The report includes updated ESI data for all covered disciplines, including Economics & Business, and remains available to all students and staff.

图书馆长期以来定期发布《ESI Research Performance Report》，提供我校学科发展及科研竞争力的动态分析。该报告每两月更新一次，涵盖包括经济与商业在内的各学科ESI数据，欢迎全校师生读者关注和查阅。
