On November 13, 2025, the latest update from Essential Science Indicators (ESI) revealed that Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) has achieved a significant milestone, with its Chemistry discipline entering the ESI Global Top 1% for the first time. This achievement highlights the university's ongoing efforts to develop world-class academic disciplines and enhances its standing as a globally recognized research institution.
2025年11月13日，基本科学指标（Essential Science Indicators，简称ESI）最新数据显示，西交利物浦大学化学学科首次跻身ESI全球前1%榜单。这一成就充分体现了学校在建设世界一流学科方面的不懈努力，并进一步提升了其作为全球知名研究型大学的学术声誉。
Among the 2179 institutions worldwide in the Chemistry field ranked in the ESI Top 1%, 429 are from Mainland China. XJTLU’s inclusion in this group places it among the top 96.6% of global institutions, demonstrating the growing strength and global recognition of its research capabilities. XJTLU’s entry into this global group underscores the rising research influence of the university and the rapidly maturing disciplinary foundation of the School of Science.
在全球化学学科跻身ESI前1%的2179所高校与研究机构中，来自中国大陆的有429所。西浦凭借出色的科研表现，成功进入该榜单，位列全球96.1%的顶尖机构之中。此次入榜不仅展示了学校科研影响力的显著提升，也彰显了理学院在学科布局和科研发展方面的稳健进展。
With the addition of Chemistry, XJTLU now boasts a total of six disciplines in the ESI Global Top 1%, which include Engineering, Computer Science, Social Sciences (General), Environment/Ecology, Economics & Business, and now Chemistry.
随着化学学科的加入，西交利物浦大学目前共有六个学科跻身ESI全球前1%，分别是工程学、计算机科学、社会科学（综合）、环境/生态学、经济与商业及化学。
The University Library has been regularly releasing the ESI Research Performance Report every two months to provide detailed analysis of XJTLU’s disciplinary progress and research competitiveness. These systematic data and analyses support the School in making informed plans for disciplinary development, providing a solid foundation for continued academic advancement. The report includes updated ESI data for all covered disciplines, including Chemistry, and remains available to all students and staff.
