Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is an authoritative international academic institution, and also is a major chemical information dissemination agency and publisher. RSC organizes hundreds of chemical meetings a year. The association was founded in 1841 by approximately 48,500 chemical researchers, teachers, industrialists and professional academic bodies. The Royal Society of Chemistry publishes 43 peer-reviewed journals and a collection of online databases and literature updating services. It covers the core chemical sciences including related fields such as biology, biophysics, energy and environment, engineering, materials, medicine and physics.
