Library successfully hosted a Researcher Academy webinar on Wednesday, 30 October, titled "Publisher's Insights - Unveiling Wiley's AI Application in the Publishing Process." The event drew a varied crowd of faculty, researchers, and senior students, providing them with a deeper understanding of how AI is reshaping the publishing industry, with a particular focus on Wiley's cutting-edge strategies.

Dr. Hong Zhou, Director of AI Products at Wiley and a renowned expert in AI strategy and service enhancement, presented an in-depth talk. His discussion covered Wiley's AI governance and policy, the Wiley publishing platform, and the multifaceted use of AI in the submission, screening, review, and publishing processes. Dr. Zhou's forward-looking perspective on the evolution of GenAI captivated the audience and stimulated a surge of interest and interaction.
Participants engaged actively in the webinar, seizing the opportunity during the Q&A session to interact with Dr. Zhou. The conversation was lively, with attendees showing a keen interest in the ethical implications of AI in publishing and its potential to transform the dissemination of research findings.
