Library Advisory Group Holds Second Meeting of Academic Year 2025/2026

The Library Advisory Group (LAG) successfully held its second meeting of the Academic Year 2025/2026 on 2 June 2026, bringing together academic representatives from across the University and members of the Library team to discuss a range of topics related to academic services and scholarly support.

2026年6月2日,图书馆顾问小组(Library Advisory Group)顺利召开了 2025/2026 学年的第二次会议。来自全校不同学院的学术代表与图书馆团队成员共同参与会议,围绕图书馆学术服务与学术支持相关议题展开交流与讨论。

 

The meeting was attended by Ms. Liping Yang, University Librarian, together with colleagues from the Library, and LAG members including Dr. Bong-Hwan OH (IOT), Dr. Darcy Sperlich (HSS), Dr. Graham Dawson (SCI), Dr. Ho Pun Lam (SAT), Dr. Mengjie Huang (DES), Dr. Qing Mu (SCI), Dr. Sophie Sturup (DES), and Yao Ge (AFCT).

会议由图书馆馆长杨丽萍女士(Ms. Liping Yang)出席,并与图书馆团队成员共同参与。出席本次会议的 LAG 成员包括:Dr. Bong-Hwan OH (IOT)、Dr. Darcy Sperlich (HSS)、Dr. Graham Dawson (SCI)、Dr. Ho Pun Lam (SAT)、Dr. Mengjie Huang (DES)、Dr. Qing Mu (SCI)、Dr. Sophie Sturup (DES) 以及 Dr. Yao Ge (AFCT)。

 

 

During the meeting, the Library presented 20 Years of Discovery: A Bibliometric Analysis of XJTLU Publications, highlighting publication trends and research achievements over the past two decades. Updates were also shared on the Library’s Open Access publishing support and XJTLU Library Journals Eligible for APC Waivers/Discounts Platform. LAG members provided constructive suggestions on enhancing the visibility and accessibility of these services. In addition, the Library reported on textbook-related issues and gathered feedback from academic representatives to support future improvements.

会上,图书馆分享了《20 Years of Discovery: A Bibliometric Analysis of XJTLU Publications》报告,展示了学校过去二十年的科研产出与发展趋势;更新了图书馆开放获取出版支持信息,以及可提供 APC 减免或折扣的期刊信息的平台。与会成员围绕相关服务的使用便利性及优化方向提出了建设性建议。此外,会议还就教材相关问题进行了情况汇报,并听取了学院代表的反馈意见,以进一步提升相关服务质量。
