The Researcher Academy Symposium was successfully held online and at Library 303, SIP Campus on October 22, 2025. Organized by the XJTLU Library, the event provided XJTLU researchers with strategic insights into navigating the academic publishing landscape and enhancing the impact of their work. The symposium featured two distinguished speakers: Dr. Xi Wen, Editor-in-Chief for Small Methods and Deputy Editor for Small at Wiley, and Ms. Jun Wang, Team Leader of the Academic Liaison and Reference Division at the XJTLU Library.

Dr. Xi Wen delivered the presentation "Publishing on Advanced & Small Family Journals". She provided key guidance on how to stand out in the competitive manuscript submission process, covering journal insights into key trends in materials & nanotech, an overview of the Advanced & Small journals, the essentials of writing and submission strategy, peer review criteria, and strategies to maximize the visibility and influence of published work.

Ms. Jun Wang presented "The Strategic Scholar's Framework: From Dissemination to Impact," systematically guiding the audience through the core modules of her outline. She detailed the use of Scholarly Metrics for evaluating journals, articles, and authors; shared Journal Selection Strategies focusing on quality, relevance, and discoverability; explained the landscape of Open Access Publishing; and concluded with guidance on Best Research Practices.
