In response to the National Reading Promotion Regulations and the Jiangsu University Student Reading Culture Festival, XJTLU Library, in partnership with Dalian University of Technology Press, SIP Library, and XJTLU Reader Association, successfully hosted the "Go Reading · Masters on Campus" event — the new book sharing session of Read While Young on the afternoon of 30 May 2026. The event featured Mr. Yue Yuan, Chairman of Dataway Horizon and Founder of Black Apple Youth as the keynote speaker, along with Dr. Xin Bi, Chief Officer of Data and Director of the Knowledge and Information Centre of XJTLU as the dialogue guest. Together, they explored the reading and personal growth with XJTLU students and faculty.

他结合自己累计阅读超过两万册的亲身经历,详细拆解了书中独创的阅读ENMQ模型——As Early As Possible、As New As Possible、As More As Possible、As Quick As Possible,引导听众建立属于自己的阅读思维框架。
At the beginning of the event, Mr. Yuan shared his insights in a relaxed and humorous manner, focusing on his latest work Read While Young. Drawing from his personal experience of reading over 20,000 books, he elaborated on the original ENMQ reading model introduced in the book: As Early As Possible, As New As Possible, As More As Possible, As Quick As Possible, guiding the audience to build their own reading framework. He ultimately emphasized that reading is not a goal, but a journey of life; reading is not the end of thinking, but the starting point of action. Reading is the lowest-cost, highest-return investment in oneself, only by proactively broadening cognitive boundaries through deep reading can one become the Columbus of their own spiritual world.

During the roundtable discussion and Q&A session, Dr. Xin Bi, Chief Officer of Data and Director of the Knowledge and Information Centre of XJTLU, engaged in an in-depth conversation with Mr. Yuan on how reading enhances personal abilities in the age of artificial intelligence, as well as the opportunities and challenges brought by technological transformation. In an era of rapid technological iteration, students should place even greater value on the real world; in an age of increasingly fragmented information, they must further cultivate their ability to think systematically through continuous reading.

Following this, the audience actively asked questions and shared their thoughts, to which Mr. Yuan responded with practical and sincere advice based on his own experiences. In the face of the traffic-driven digital age, he noted that reading and new media are not opposing forces, short videos serve as the "entrance", while reading is the "core". These two can form a virtuous cycle, allowing fragmented knowledge to be connected into a coherent system through reading, rather than being mutually exclusive substitutes.
A book presentation ceremony was also held during the event. Mr. Yuan presented his new work Read While Young to the XJTLU Library, with Ms. Liping Yang, University Librarian of XJTLU Library, accepting this gift and expressing appreciation. At the conclusion of the event, readers who registered in advance and attended also received a complimentary copy of the book and had the opportunity to obtain Mr. Yuan's autograph. A group photo captured the warm and inspiring atmosphere.

More than a book launch, this event served as a deep dialogue on reading and growth. XJTLU Library remains committed to building a campus-wide reading culture and bringing high-quality intellectual resources to support students and faculty in gaining strength through reading.
