Coming Activities:
1. E-Discovery Challenge
Date: 9 Oct – 13 Oct
Location: Library Main Entrance Hall
Step:
(1) Learn more about the information and resource characteristics of each database.
(2) Scan the QR code on activity poster with ICE accounts.
(3) Complete all questions on quizzes about the e-resources.
(4) Submit your completed quizzes for the Lucky Draw.
Notice: Each participant can submit only 1 completed quiz. Higher score can raise your chance to win a prize.
Prizes:
The 1st Prize (1 people): Apple iPad mini 4
The 2nd Prize (2 people): Razer BlackWidow Mechanical Keyboard
The 3rd Prize (5 people): Starbucks Gift Card
The commemorative Prize (20 people): Nice Gift
2. E-Discovery Training
Librarians and training specialists will introduce the use of the designated resources and tips on smart searching. Participants will also have the opportunities for hands-on practice.
You shall register online at Training Calendar (http://libcal.lib.xjtlu.edu.cn) or at the information desk of the event.
After the E-Discovery Week, 3 participants will be randomly chosen to win Audio-technica earphone. You may join any number of these workshops to maximize your chance to win a prize.
3. InfoClinic
Time: 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Date: 9 Oct, 10 Oct, 12 Oct
Location: Floor1 Discussion Area
We will deliver consultation services on site with three main topics:
Finance & Business Info
Article Searching
Citation Management
Three information experts will solve any searching request raised by XJTL Users.
Participants can bring their own research topics, or consult experts about FAQs on white board.
Notice: Please pay attention to the opening hours.
4. Photo Booth & Sina Weibo Interaction
Date: 9 Oct - 13 Oct
Location: Library Main Entrance Hall
You are welcomed to take photos at our photo booth using various photo props prepared by the Library. Upload your photo to Sina Weibo, @西交利物浦大学图书馆, add the topic #西浦图书馆eDiscoveryWeek#.
Please tell us your experience of library searching tools or databases, or your suggestions and comments on our digital collection development.
You can collect a nice gift at the information desk of the event by showing your Weibo post. Gifts will be handed out on a “first come, first serve” basis.
5. Presentation of Prizes
Time: 2:00pm, 13 Oct
Location: Library Main Entrance Hall
Notice：
Before it, prize winners of the above lucky draws will be randomly chosen at 10:00am on 13th October 2017.
Prize winners will be contacted by email and they shall collect their prizes in person.
