XJTLU Library E-Discovery Week 2019

The exciting library annual event E-Discovery Week is coming! Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) Library is going to hold “E-Discovery Week 2019” in Week 5.

The event engages XJTLU students and staff with various prize winning activities, offering a great opportunity for them to learn about the Library's high-quality electronic resources.

 

Event Location: XJTLU Library Entrance Hall

Event Time: October 7th- 11th, 2019

 

Activity 1: E-Discovery Challenge

Learn about our featured electronic resources from the booths at the Library’s main entrance hall. Take part in the E-Discovery Challenge with ICE accounts and complete 10 questions about the resources with the assistance of event staff and volunteers and hints provided. 45 lucky persons will be randomly selected from all participants to win an E-Discovery Week Lucky Bag, higher score can raise your chance to win a prize.

 

Activity 2: E-Resource Training Workshops

The Library will arrange 12 e-resource training workshops and an EndNote X9 workshop to introduce various e-resources, smart searching skills and referencing. After the E-Discovery Week, 5 participants will be randomly chosen to win an E-Discovery Week Lucky Bag. 

 

Activity 3: InfoClinic

Three information experts will deliver consultation services on site with three main topics: Finance & Business Info, Article Searching and Citation Management. Participants can bring their own research topics, or consult experts about FAQs on white board.

InfoClinic opening hours: October 8th - 10th, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

 

Off-site Activity: WeChat Interaction

Share your feelings and opinions in comment section of the E- Discovery Week WeChat message. 5 messages will be chosen to win the XJTLU hoodies!

 

Notice：

Prize winners of the above lucky draws will be randomly chosen at 10:00 am on 11th October 2019.

Prize winners will be contacted by email and they shall collect their prizes in person.
